We have known the proverb "Long life in a healthy
body" since ancient times. And the key to staying healthy is hidden in the
vegetarian diet. The present time is not pleasant for us either, so how much
quality of vegetarian food is needed to keep the body fit. Today we will review
the research of various doctors, scientists and Ayurveda Research Center.
Non-vegetarian diet of fish, meat, eggs is generally called
vegetarian diet. Vegetarian diets include a variety of dairy and plant
products.
1. Why eat vegetarian ?
A vegetarian diet helps to increase immunity and improve
health. Vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, a variety of antioxidants, as well
as phytonutrients are found in sufficient quantities in vegetables and colorful
fruits. These ingredients keep the body's supply of nutrients intact and
increase the body's resistance to disease.
2. To keep the metabolism strong-
The metabolism in our body is not very easy when we eat
non-vegetarian food. This is because non-vegetarian foods contain many harmful
substances or toxins, which are excreted to weaken our digestive system,
resulting in metabolism. And various digestive problems are created.
3. Dietary Fiber -
Dietary fiber is a type of carbohydrate that cannot be
digested by our body's enzymes. It is found in edible plant foods such as
cereals, fruits, vegetables, dried peas, nuts, lentils and grains. As the level
of dietary fiber in non-vegetarian protein is very low, it causes indigestion,
constipation etc.
4. To control sugar levels -
We can easily estimate how much vegetables we need in our
diet without research. Different types of vegetables contain a lot of dietary
fiber which increases the efficiency of the stomach and intestines, helps in
digestion and plays a special role in keeping the constipation clean. Eating
these carbohydrates does not make us hungry easily, because fiber reduces our
hunger by filling our stomachs. In addition, our body absorbs nutrients through
the intestines at a very slow rate, thus controlling blood sugar levels.
5. Avoid Saturated Fats -
We have long had negative thoughts about saturated fats.
Almost everyone knows that this ingredient cannot bring any good results for
our body at all. According to macronutrients (carbs, proteins, fats) 20% -30%
fat can be eaten. But high levels of saturated fat in non-vegetarian foods
increase bad cholesterol in the blood. Disrupts blood flow in the arteries.
This results in high blood pressure and various cardiovascular diseases such as
heart disease, atherosclerosis, etc. Therefore, it is important to keep such
patients on a fat diet.
6. To control sugar levels-
Carbohydrates are an essential part of our diets, but not all
sugary foods are the same. Glycemic index (GI) is the comparative ranking of
sugars in foods according to how they affect blood glucose levels.
Carbohydrates with low GI values (55 or less) are digested, absorbed and
metabolized more slowly and lower blood glucose. For diabetics, we need to
choose a variety of vegetables, grains and fruits from our diet. This type of
food has a low glycemic index. As a result, this food does not increase our blood
sugar level. This is the specialty of vegetarian food.
7. Calories should be judged and eaten-
Extensive part of the underground stem, from the shoots of
which new seedlings grow, the root and tuber vegetables are high in sugar.
Therefore, diabetics should eat less of this type of food. Such as potatoes,
oats, etc. are basically food to judge the calories.
8. Protein supply in vegetarian diet-
Vegetarians also need protein on their diet. To meet that
protein requirement, all vegetarian foods that have a supply of protein need to
be added to the food menu. Pulses, soybeans or soybean products such as soy
milk, soy cheese, almonds, walnuts, cheese made from milk, etc. need to be
taken.
9. To overcome the lack of minerals-
The lack of minerals in vegetarian diets also causes many
problems, so to make up for that deficiency, there are minerals that need to be
included in our diet. For example, figs, glassware, spinach, kulekhara, vedana,
etc. can be eaten to make up for the iron deficiency, and soybean, milk, dairy
products, such as yogurt whey, lamb cheese, etc., should be taken to eliminate
calcium deficiency.
10. Of minerals
Hydroponics is the cultivation of a mixture of nutrient rich
water, excluding cultivation in conventional soils. The food produced by the
Hydroponics method is relatively tasty to eat and rich in nutrients. More crops
can be grown in less space. Moreover, the cost of this method is also low. To
overcome the problem of deficiency of different types of vitamins, vegetables,
fruits, etc. should be taken after analysis.
There are also some medicinal vegetables, fruits and
home-made spices, such as tomatoes, mint, basil, thyme - these leaves are used
in cooking to enhance the aroma. These can be cultivated using hydroponics
method. So the emphasis is on vegetarian food to keep the body healthy.
